I decided that I definitely needed more free standing fern embroideries for the fringe Lily piece, but overall I'm really not at all sure that this is piece is working.
I have 'auditioned' the various bits of fern that I have made, and just plonked them on the background, but they don't 'do' it for me at all. I'd hate to waste all the effort that I've put into the piece so far, but unless I can see a way of fixing it, then it will have to be ditched!

To my eye it might just need a dark fern in the bottom LH corner.
But then what do I know? :-)
Put it somewhere where you can look at it fro a few days as you pass by.
It definitely did need another fern in the bottom LH corner Dorothy. I think the fabric pen marks add a bit too.
